LET'S WORK TOGETHER - FOR FREE!

ML Giving. Let's team up for change.

We don’t want resource limitations to stop important conversations from happening. That’s why we created ML Giving —to help organisations and communities lead meaningful engagement on the issues that matter.

This year, we’re offering one organisation the chance to receive a ML giving donation.

We’re donating a whole team of specialised engagement practitioners and facilitators who will design and deliver an effective engagement process for free.

If you have an important conversation that needs to happen, we want to help—because every step toward better dialogue strengthens our communities and democracy.

the ml giving story

MosaicLab has always been committed to giving back and facilitating the conversations that matter. Our pro-bono work was recently formalised under the ML Giving banner.

Since then, we’ve delivered one ML Giving project working with Cultura and have another underway with Mornington Community Support Centre.

Now, we’re looking for our next partnership.

LET’s work together!

Have an issue or hard topic that you need to bring people together to solve?

We welcome applications from groups whose work aligns with our values and focuses on creating meaningful, inclusive change.

This includes projects led by or supporting First Nations communities, disadvantaged youth people with disabilities, and initiatives in education, affordable housing, climate action, diversity, equity and inclusion, and democracy-building.

You’rE eligible to apply if you’re looking to bring people together to tackle what’s hard and build better outcomes for those impacted by difficult issues.

We also wish to support efforts empowering disadvantaged youth, promoting mental health, and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.

We’re here to help those who are working to create real, positive change, but might not have the resources to drive meaningful engagement.
— Nicole Hunter, MosaicLab Co-founder & Managing Director

HOW APPLICATIONS will be ASSESSED

The principles that underpin the work we select are:

  1. The work must focus on furthering local community inclusion and action beyond just getting input and more into enabling local decision-making.

  2. The work must involve democratising the process as much as possible for society i.e. opening up to more voices, more often and giving more control away.

  3. The work must involve communities or issues that won’t ordinarily get funding or support to do the work.

The whole MosaicLab team will have input into what work we do, and the MosaicLab Board will approve which projects we invest in. To further make this possible, we have offered everyone on our team the option of spending up to one full day per year donating their time where it is needed most.

Please note: We do have to limit our not-for-profit work to just a few special initiatives each year, however, we will give every approach to us due consideration.

EMpowering refugee women through planning

Our first pro-bono project officially under the new ML Giving banner was facilitating a business planning process for refugee women in Geelong, hosted by Cultura.

Read about how this project helped these incredible women get ready to turn planning into action in this case study.
